Journal of Teaching and Learning

The Journal of Teaching and Learning (JTL) acknowledges the traditional territories of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibwe, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. There are few places on earth where others have not walked before us or called it home.

The JTL is an international, peer-reviewed journal. The journal seeks manuscripts that provide a critical examination of historical and contemporary educational contexts. The journal publishes original research that contributes to theoretical and applied questions in teaching and learning. These may include: issues related to indigenous education, gender, class, race, ethnicity and diversity, educational policy, teacher education, educational leadership, and theories of teaching and learning. The journal also welcomes critical and exploratory essays that focus on current educational issues. The JTL is published twice a year. Submissions are anonymously peer-reviewed.

JTL Call for Papers for a Special Capsule Issue: STEAM
The Journal of Teaching and Learning (JTL) invites submissions for a special capsule issue on the integrated arts, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), with guest editor, Dr. Terry Sefton. Design and/or project-based learning provides a unique opportunity to engage learners in cross-disciplinary content. We are particularly interested in the integration with the arts (dance, drama, visual arts, and music) as an equal partner with other subject areas, facilitating cross-collaboration and innovation.
For the special capsule issue, JTL invites online submissions or email submissions { or} of original articles fitting this theme.
Articles should be submitted by September 1, 2017. The special capsule issue will be published in December 2017.

Submissions have closed for the Summer 2017 issue of the JTL.
Look out for our new issue soon! New general submissions received will be considered for the Summer 2018 issue.
